I bought some car bits online last week
Before you go on about supporting my local Halfords LOL they are bits I cant source locally

Anyway I had a choice of a few companies and chose the one with a courier company with a depot locally as it was unlikely Id be in when they arrived
As I predicted I was out and collected the stuff on Saturday

When I unwrapped it there was an obvious manufacturing problem
I spoke to them immediately this morning and got a pretty crap response
They have only now accepted the goods are defective after lots of emails, phone calls and photos
You dont have to be a rocket scientist to see how its been welded wrong

Anyway they now want it back - which is fine - but are arranging collection on a weekday which isnt fine
I am not staying in all day waiting for a courier to collect sometihng defective especially after the aggro I have had

They will not collect on Saturday and the courier office wont let me make a drop on a Saturday

So we have a bit of a stand off

Any suggestions?
Ive said they can arrange collection any time they like but the chances of anyone being home are slim
And Im currently doing some voluntary work and collecting from there is out the question too

Cheers

Post them yourself and have them reimburse you?

Under distance selling regs you have a legal right to reject the goods; no 'proof' of anything should be necessary. (As far as I remember, anyway)

As for collection, they're under no obligation to collect on a Saturday, you have to allow them 'reasonable' access to collect. Do you have any friends / neighbours / take it into work maybe? How did they deliver it in the first place?
