No, that's not a joke. Due to work I will be spending a weekday evening at Maidenhead Travelodge - rock and roll I know. Any recommendations for general timekilling, pub/eating and/or somewhere nice to go for a run (not able to take bike)?

Fat Duck nearby in Bray.

If you're minted.

The Hinds Head, Bray if you fancy a great meal at a reasonable price

Burnham Beeches - big forest, good for running.
Windsor Great Park is also good for running, although it can be dispiriting how long it takes you to get down the Long Walk.
You could probably construct a nice out and back using the Thames Path too - it's pretty nice around the Marlow/Henley way.

Maidenhead itself is dullish. If it's a nice evening, head up to somewhere like Marlow for a bite to eat and a stroll looking at the posh folks.

have a beer somewhere different - http://www.wlac.co.uk/wlac/ (*food as well, gf loves it I think it's a wee bit more than it should be but love the feel of the place)

run (*singletack/river path), go to Thames bridge (Slough side/rowing club house just down a bit), footpath towards Windsor on riverside, a rather nice bike bimble -

see also which is same areaish http://www.sustrans.org.uk/assets/files/leaflets/Sustrans_Jubilee_River_NCN4.pdf, fyi 61 is traffic noisy and unscenic but probably a great run (wide, surfaced etc)
