I don't think the OP has done or said anything wrong. His only 'crime', as far as I can see, is to be new to the site.
Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves - you are bullying the guy.
OP - I hope you get your stuff ASAP, maybe in 10 years or so, once you are accepted, you can slate newbies too. Keep the faith.
Lds, you have stated purely factual info with no malice ......but still u must die by raw onion in the eyes for the crime of newbieism
What Junkyard said.
Nothing to do with being 'new' and I'd hope I'm not perceived to be bullying as that's absolutely not my intention. The point I was making was solely that your opening post read as though you felt you'd been intentionally ripped off (why else would you refer to "these types of people"), and then when it was suggested that it was probably an innocent mistake you subsequently denied all knowledge that you'd ever thought otherwise. Hence what I was said (in what I initially thought was a jokey manner) by contradicting yourself.
The seller said he hasn't received your emails. Looking at his posting history he doesn't appear to have logged on since. This could perhaps imply that his Internet access is limited? It's difficult to know for sure, it could be that he's made a mistake, it could be that he's taken you for a ride, or with respect it could be that you're pulling a fast one. My gut feeling though is to give both parties the benefit of the doubt and conclude it's just a mistake.
I'd suggest either trying emailing again, or opening a Paypal dispute to reverse the transaction.
"these types of people")
I maintain this stance and I feel like you should all be aware of these type of people, I would think twice about dealing with chunkymonkey if I was you. If there are any problems you're not very well supported by him are you.
Strange how is internet was working when he sent me a paypal invoice, strange how his internet was working when he was notified I had paid that invoice, but now his emails don't work.
Paypal dispute and emails have been completed.
Come on Cougar even with your strange sense of humour/ outlook on life you'd feel a little peeved off that's for sure.

at last, a normal/ honest response.
Voodoo_chile you win the prize.
Come on Cougar even with your strange sense of humour/ outlook on life you'd feel a little peeved off that's for sure.
Sure. But I wouldn't be starting a smear campaign until I was in full possession of all the facts. It's fairly readily apparent from his trading history that this is atypical. Something's gone wrong somewhere.
Incidentally,
What the hell is a 'brake booster' anyway?
It really is what it says a booster for brakes making them more powerful by stopping the forks or frame deflecting when you brake
Its snake oil really
Its snake oil really
I think with older, more flexible forks with bolted crown assemblies they might have made a small difference.
They were excellent for collecting mud and leaves though.
*googles* oh yeah.
Seems odd to me that you could improve a bike's (presumably) finely honed and perfected design with something like that. Never come across it before, live and learn.
Strange these boosters, imagine your brakes pushing so hard on the rims that they deflect the fork. But then imagine that the loss of pressure due to this is sufficient to make you think that you still need to brake harder.
Most likely is he posted it around christmas
******
paid for on the 29th Dec so posted well after christmas.
See, he trusted you, sending it before you paid!
Is this still going on??
I'm on side of op, aside from debate on terminology he used, he seems educated enough to have picked his words as he wanted them perceived. He's peshed off, as would I be.
An awful lot of attempted bullying going on, although glad to see op can hold his own.
The fact some don't know what a brake booster is pretty appalling in my opinion!
As you were.
I agree, the only prob is that when he warns us abou " these kind of people" he doesn't make it clear what 'these kind' are. Does he mean Gingers?
Wow. Internet bullys.
It's interesting to think about how the repsonses may have differed if the OP was by one of the 'clique' and the seller was new to the site...
Does he mean Gingers?

I don't think they take requests. Although, I hear Grumpy Mark can bang out a decent rendition of Ice Ice Baby.
Is that the Embra defence that Cougar has used?
Is that the Embra defence that Cougar has used?
No.
Charliemungus thats a poor attempt to twist the facts.
Look what i can do from the words here, Im sure others could come up with funnier (my money is on Cougar)
Seems odd to me that you could
educate
Gingers
lds,i think i've got a booster in the garage.drop me an email (in my profile)i'll have a rummage and i'll post it for you free :D.it's a grey one but i used it with my maguras just fine.apologies for the p1ss taking but you seem to have handled it fine by me
cheers
Charliemungus that's a poor attempt to twist the facts.
You are in no position to make that judgement. You don't know me very well or know how good I am at twisting facts. That may be a very good effort which resulted in an outcome near my best.
So what you're saying is, you have exceptionally low standards?
I think there is plenty of evidence to support that

"For The Win."An enthusiastic emphasis to the end of a comment, message, or post. Sometimes genuine, but often sarcastic.
I feel like I have just been sent to jail and Mr Big and his sidekicks have tried to bum me in the showers. Luckily I put up a good fight and now they are going to leave me alone. Hell I may even end up being part of their gang.
They don't call him Mr Big for nothing.
(His surname is probably 'Hitter')
Pretty sure if the buyer had not been a newbie & the seller had been, there would have been calls for bombers, wee in shoes and probably a few 'where does he live? I'll go & have a word' type offers.
I'd be pretty miffed with poor communication if I had bought something & it hadn't arrived 3 weeks later...
You're probably correct in that the reaction would've been different in that situation, but that's not because of any favouritism or elitism (is that what you're implying?), but rather because of known history.
It's like ebay feedback ratings; we had a thread only the other day where someone decided they were going to lie to a buyer and say they'd broke their phone rather than risk dealing with someone whose only crime was zero feedback.
I'd be miffed too. And looking back at the thread I'm actually a little embarrassed that the OP got such a rough ride as a new forum member, for all my bold claims of 'benefit of the doubt'. It's a bit crap. But, I just don't believe that someone's happily traded £100s worth of frames for months in the classifieds just to set up the crime of the century and take someone for seven pounds fifty.
OP, any progress?
If not, this just popped up on the fleabay which may be of use to you?
Paypal refund received 21/1/13 with attached message apologising. Seller says booster sent but not recorded mail, and no emails received from me.
Got two sent from sausage fingers (thanks very much) they need a little bit of adjustment but im sure ill get one of them to work.
