I know I know I’ve got excess cash to spend and have now made the decision to go into supercar territory!!

I’m not sure which to go for, Porsche or Ferrari are not contenders.

I know both the McLaren and the Lamborghini are both excellent cars, just can’t decide which will be better for everyday use.

Mainly be used for pushing around on my desk or the kitchen floor.

Shall I go corgi, matchbox or hot wheels ???

I know it’s hardly a third world problem but I’m confused 🤷‍♂️.

Thanks for all replies in advance

Suggest you do a bit more research before committing any cash to it.

You've not even considered Burago.

I'm not sure how serious you are about this.

It's a tricky one. I decided to pull the trigger on a McLaren. Should've got a hefty staff discount as I worked there (for a day and a half) but I only got a free pen. True story

I've got a Burago Lamborghini Diablo that I was bought years ago as a birthday present. Ultimate dream car, though it could do with a wash and wax as its getting dusty 🙂

I'm not made of money ! Neighbours would get jealous...

Good call on the Burago - what are they like if I take it on holiday ? Do they have good international servicing/repair network ?

Lamborghini.

If you go Hot Wheels consider one of their monster truck multi-packs. My daughter has a few of these & they are great - the wheels are heavy so they roll really nicely & feel really nice.
She's also got a load of normal Hot Wheels - performance varies massively between them, so choose with care.
The Hot Wheels Booster Pack (battery powered car flinger) is great fun with a load to track to stick on it; bit noisy though is planning on using during Teams meetings....

(Because you specifically mentioned 'for day to day') Mclaren for two anecdotal reasons:

1. I've shot for a mclaren garage before and the owner said they are really easy to live with
2. I met van persie's agent on a job once before who showed up in his ferrari ff, we got talking about cars quite a lot and he had moved to [the] ferrari from a lamborghini which he had to get rid of after a day (ONE day) because of speed bumps, and because he couldn't get it up his drive in london.

However as a very distant outsider, if it weren't specifically for day to day, the lamborghini is far more flashy and eventful seeming

This is juniors end of term Carrot, he has to win the High Achievers gold tie to get it. He’s a long way toward it it to be fair....

This might help you to narrow down your choice of Lambo:

Tomica do some great castings in 1/64 or there about. you may need to order them from asia, though.

i recently got a lamborghini 5 pack from hot wheels. that was pretty good. and there is a great colour P1 and Senna out at the moment also from hot wheels.

Mainly be used for pushing around

Lamborgini don't make a pram so it'll need to be a Maclaren

From your selection it has to be Hotwheels as from memory they own Matchbox now and have made MB a budget line. Corgi were owned by MB so lord knows where they stand?....

I went down a diecast internet rabbit hole a while back and it was interesting to see how the industry ebbed, flowed and changed.

I remember Majorette being a step above Matchbox and Corgi when I was little.

Not anymore unfortunately, from the huge box of cars my son has Hotwheels are by far the best, Matchbox not bad and Majorette one step above the supermarket tat. They build them like a 80's French hatchback.
