Trying to access my email account through mac mail.
I have created a mailbox, but unable to send or receive email.
A tad vague, I know, I just thought someone here might be able to offer a solution before I start again.

Can't remember specifics, but I get both my O2 and BT email through my Mac's Mail function, and through to my iPhone without problems. Must be simple for me to do it.
Mail > preferences > accounts
You'll need the username, password and server details
Some services, e.g. Gmail provide a setup script which you just double click, or instructions.
By creating a mail box, do you mean that you have run the set-up wizard? You can also do this manualy using the settings from your ISP.
I opened mac mail then followed prompts etc.
Now I have a mailbox that can send a msg to another email a/c although it never arrives. It doesn't receive mail either.

I guess I'll have to delete the mailbox and start again.
