Off to an evening wedding later. Staying in the middle of Bath, parking up somewhere near Charles street. Fancy a good lunch in walking distance of there. River view would be nice. ย Pretty much anything goes, but preference would be for a really good Thai restaurant. Up for any recommendations tho. Although nothing that requires a booking.

Greggs and a bench.

Disclaimer: I've never been to Bath.

If you fancy a really good cake later, I'd recommend Good Day Cafe in the centre.

The Green Rocket cafe is excellent. Completely vegan, but utterly delicious.

Probably a bit late, but my first thought was The Raven. Good beer and pies to die for.

@countzero - we passed the Raven. On the list for when we go back as we both loved Bath, and it's only 90 mins away.ย

Ended up having a very good Thai lunch upstairs on a balcony at the bottom of the town. Had coffee and cake in Lulus and the Quiet Cafe both of which were excellent. Shall try those two ^^ recommended next time. Breakfast at Sydneys which was a 5 min walk from the hotel and really good. Again excellent coffee.ย

Also the shop that blends its own tea is brilliant.ย

Wedding was at the Roman Baths. Heck of a venue to get married.

Can concur that Greggs and a bench is a good option. The Greggs is well positioned and there are benches close by.
