in which it was committed! Can we have a writing ban for the grammar-less? Maybe a points system. Of course there would have to be different rules to cover Gaelic and Welsh errors.than you are for a drink driving ban enforced only in the country it was committed in
Almost crashed my car into the front of my office at 0630 this morning (no alcohol involved!), grammar is fairly low down my list of "stuff i've not done very well today" 🙂
(I should note, I'm making up most of these posts, so might warrant a bit of actual research if anyone can be bothered. Sounds right though 🙂 )

The law is the Law.
Scots law is different, so why should someone living in England be banned from driving in England if they haven't broken the law in their home country? It's a UK driving licence NOT a Scottish one and as such all legalities should be the same IMHO.
you will lose that argument if you expect the limit to get revised upward. Likelihood if it became an issue would be that the limit would get lowered in England and Wales.
a gritting issue apparently
haha!
Mine was probably even more stupid. I was parked up with engine on and could hear a slight rattle coming from exhaust. I put into "N" (car is auto) with the door open and me leaning out as I revved slightly to see if I could hear it. Only I'd put it back into "D" rather than "N". 😳
as a 'large' is priced the same as 2 singles by 'law' as drinks 'deals' are now illegal
since when? Was out a couple of weeks ago and was asked plenty of times "double for 30p extra?"
That's what I was told in the hotel I stayed in. Aberdeen hotels probably get away with it because most of the guests appeared to be on expenses!
The UK already signed up to mutual recognition of driving disqualifications within the EU - so for instance if you are banned in Ireland, it applies in the UK. This also applies to all other EU countries that have signed up. However as Scotland is part of the UK then I would think this is simply not needed as a ban there is the same as a ban in London.
Its a ludicrous situation and I feel sorry for those Scots who would have preferred to continue with the previous limit and had it enforced properly.
