Over the last 2 weeks my phone has been black screening when ringing, not waking up etc. Progressively getting worse. I have done a soft reset, a factory resent, nothing has improved it. Yesterday 27 hours ago it went off, now nothing will wake the screen up!
I tried to register to get it sent in for repair but can't access the imei as the screen won't turn on! Can't do an external reset as the screen won't turn on to select options!! Any ideas??
Try cleaning the screen. Specifically the proximity sensor. Had this exact thing with my pixel 3 and turn out the little hole for the sensor in the screen protector had collected a load of gunge.
Is the IMEI on the box it came in?
@markyg82 i did try that, worked a few times but not now :-(When you touch the fingerprint sensor on the back it gives you feedback but doesn't wake the screen 🙁
IMEI is probably on the box but we moved house 2 weeks ago ......
Is it on contract? Call the provider for the IMEI?
