Ive been thinking about getting some fancy ear plugs for ages. I hate the noise in loud pubs, and have been plugging my ears with my fingers to have a conversation since uni.
Also have 3 kids, and the youngest is entering a screaming phase. She got some lungs on her. Eugh.
I like the idea of Loop earplugs (and similar), but cant tell why theyre SO expensive. Is it not just a bit of plastic designed to hold a regular headphone Jelly? or are the "acoustically" worth the premium?
any other reccomendations? ideally with an keyring holder so i can not have to remember to take them with me when i got out.
TIA

I took the attitude that yes, it is, so bought some cheapy knock-off ones from eBay for sleeping in and they work fine. For 'going out' purposes I bought some of these, but I'll be honest I've never used them...

Any parents using them here? I'm struggling with the shrill noises from the kids, whether or be screaming, playing in what ever!!Â
I use these for gigs.Â
Loath to spend the big bucks as i do periodically end up losing them in the usual rough and tumble and they seem to work just fine, taking the edge off the volume without muffling the actual sound that much.Â
have loop experience, worn them out to a few raves and gigs.. they do do something for sure... certainly reduce after gig ringing
