I'm looking for any recommendations for accommodation for a long weekend in Florence. Never been before, so it'll be a case of trawling through trip adviser unless anyone has any gems of info.

What are you looking for? Hotel? Apartment?

10 years ago, tried to book what was a very highly rated family hotel, but they were closed for annual redecoration (it was february) they offered us an apartment they had, was a converted bell tower, shutters on all 4 sides of bedroom looking over the city, very close to Duomo, absolutely stunning. Was as cheap as hell too.
Hotel is called hotel Dali, as you say, a long shot, but worth an email....
