I'm visiting this area at Easter - staying at Little Stretton - and wondering if there are any recommended trails to had in the hills. Had a wee look at a decent website - The Edge Cycleworks - which has a few routes but some local advice would be useful.

cheers

tiggs121 - You've got mail but check you're anti spam because I've had to send the file remotely and it sometimes does that.

Long Mynd is great. You can ride all day without knowing where you are but without being lost. The best route is up across down up along down up back along down up across down.

Also you can go the other side of the main road towards Wenlock edge and still not get lost.

All these routes start from Church Stretton near the great bakery.

Try off piste down the side of the golf course to the steep cliff-like drop onto the carpark (thorn bushes) - focuses the mind! Everyone else went round!

There are concerns about outbreaks of phytophthora in the area at the moment so be very wary or going off piste. The National Trust website should have more info.

Plenty of stuff there, Minton bach is the favourite which is great fun. As well as Plush Hill cycles there's also Blazing Bikes at Marshbrook for spares / advice.

Ah didn't know that- we got lost, ended up going through the top of the golf course and it was either track back abit and right or zig zag down the face into the thorn bushes.
