[Closed] Local independent specialist shop...fail

got a nice dar desk lamp that was given to me a while back. dimmer swtich goes. walk into lighting shop in town, been there for ever, old man who only sells lights and dar range, im thinking he will know his stuff. 'you cant fix those, dar are useless to deal with, they dont make things to fix anymore ..blah..blah, youll have to bin it, i sell new ones £70' im not shelling 70 on a new light. wednesday i email dar and explain, dont have a receipt etc. this morning the part is on the doormat, fitted in no time and guess what it works.
