The wife likes it so "watch something else" isn't an option. 😐

My predictions.

Murder in Oxford connected to the University.
Snobby suspects talk down to Lewis and think he is a thick northener.
Hathaway says something clever and may be gay.
Lewis catched the badie after we are all lead to think it was someone else.

I think I shall patch my bag full of punctured tubes.

I have slowly developed a real hatred of TV detective shows too.

The worse one is Poriot I pray for the day he'll be wrong and he stupid little arrogant face will just drop in disappointment and he'll probably crumble up in the corner and die.

Also Columbo, its basically the same he pretends to be stupid and everyone is fooled but then they realise he's really smart at the end. Its even worse though cos they tell you who the killer is at the start !

The Bridge is good. Watch it on the iPlayer whilst she marvels at Kev's rug.

And dissing Frank Columbo is very poor form.
Man was a genius. All with only the one eye as well.

Erm... I Love Lewis, it's my midweek chillout night, beer, pizza, peanut m"n"m's relaxing..

I love the characters, ok it can be a bit "ploddy" at times but it's way better than Midsummer Murders (and I used to love that until Barnaby morphed into someone else).

Agreed - Lewis is a depressingly foreseeable, unvaried bore-fest.

For me, Detective programs have to be gritty and realistic - like Cagney and Lacey or Murder, She Wrote.

Turn it into a drinking game. Any of the above noted = a shot.
I'm sure it'll become fairly entertaining after about 15 minutes or so!
Works for me when the missus is watching eastenders..
