@Daffy , got a link to the lighting kit?

I wasn’t initially too fussed about The Mandalorian N1 Star Fighter UCS kit, but revealed yesterday, it looks really good:

Expensive for the piece count and the bottom could be better, but nice nonetheless.

Lighting kit looks good @daffy
I finished the Enterprise 1701-D a couple of weeks ago. It was a fun build. Next up the Type 15 shuttle pod.
Been waiting for a Mando UCS N1. Theres a few instructions out there but they are difficult to build and contain at least one ludicrously priced part. Be out for my birthday.
Clearing my mums house and went through my box of old lego, to get a few sets build so they could come home with me.
First castle and first x-wing
Oddly appropriate.
I have pre-ordered it before I realised just how big it is going to be.... It's going to be amazing but I'm really entirely sure where I'm going to put the finished model
MrsMC has said the price seems quite reasonable. And I've made sure my Lego mad adult kids know it is out in time for Fathers Day.
Phwoar. I’ve got the 911, Chiron and Ferrari form this series already. Been struggling to justify buying another after the first two (the Ferrari was a gift) but I really want this.
I'll wait for the Chinese version at an 1/8 the price.

Whilst I'll acknowledge that a lot of Lego's licenced stuff does seem rather expensive for what you get, the widespread willingness to wait for IP to be stolen in the race to the bottom will do nothing to inspire creativity in the long term.
That's true but I'm not sure who is losing out. I'm never going to spend £400 on the official Lego version even if it was the only option and that's probably true for the majority of people who'd consider the knock off.

There are outliers (in both directions), but they're not significantly different from non-licensed models IME. My mental rule of thumb is 10p/brick, this is £400 for over 42k bricks so is on the cheaper side.
