It it okay to put a cast iron (I assume it is) and enameled pot onto a BBQ?
Thanks

Yes. It's not great though as the very high temps of a bbq doesn't suit casserole type cooking very well.

You can cook in a cast iron pot on a barbecue just fine. I grew up in South Africa where potjiekos is an obsession.
Just build a smaller fire under the pot.very high temps of a bbq doesn't suit casserole type cooking very well.

Indirect heat on a weber type BBQ with a lid on. Just like an oven.

Thanks.
It isn't a Le Creuset so I was more worried about ruining the food than the cheap-ish pot.
Besides being green, our oil drum BBQ is a long way from a Webber, but it is on very low at the moment with ribs.
