fair these days? Interested in replacing a tired Ilyama. This would be a second screen next to my Acer 22".

depends what you want the monitor for,
250 lm2 is great for eyestrain/headache if you are working on images (120 lm2 recommended) but it's probably ideal for porn/gaming.
those specs are possibly massaged and slightly meaningless when comparing the competition as they will be measured differently.
