So that's where all the small frames went ๐
I serviced Sir David Attenburgh's rear swingarm
I once saw Rod Hull in a shoe shop. The shoe shop was in Corfu and it wasn't mine and I didn't work there either, but it's the closest thing I can get to in this famous person/retail thread.
I thank-you.
I once got caught having a pre race dump in the woods at Innerleithen by Rachel Atherton. She asked if I had any toilet roll!
I sold a copy of the watchmen graphic novel and a book about REM to the lead singer of the Bluetones in 1997
I fixed a puncture for Mikkey Dee the drummer for Motorhead.
I sold a helmet to Ford Kiernan, AKA The Big Man.
For those of you not in the know:
I sold a bike to Geoff Hoon when he was defence secretary during the Iraq war (famous at the time I guess).
Not retail related but I went to the same school, and had lessons with, Ed Clancy. How our paths in life changed...
I have been for rides with Dave B's dad and brother. Dad gave me a hard time for 2 years whilst at college
I sold Scary Spice a bike.
I sold David "Kid" Jensen a pair of padded underpants.
And a fair few more...!
I thought it was only name-dropping if people know who the droppee is ?

Hope that helps.

In a past life, I once provided technical support to Timmy Mallet.
See how he is on the telly? Just the same IRL.
Sat opposite Janet Street-Porter on the Eurostar, I'd already had a few bevy's and thought it was a badly dressed bloke (she is pushing 6 foot). Only when she went to the loo did a fellow passenger point out who it actually was. ๐ณ

In my former life as one of London's finest cycle couriers, I delivered stuff to Stephen Fry, David Essex, Maureen Lipman, Ian Hislop, Chris Tarrant and Alexei Sayle.

Possibly the most impressive thing I've read on here ๐ , he's my all time hero. although looking at the size of him these days I'm quite surprised he does any exercise at all.
Spaceman et al, this was in 1990 San Francisco.
