Looking at laptops and think I've narrowed it down to a Samsung R580 or an Acer Aspire 5742, identical spec (Core i3, 4GB, ATI Radeon etc.) and near-as-makes-no-difference identical price.
Before I splash my cash does anyone have any horror stories or been particularly impressed by either of these brands?

Can't comment on Samsung but I don't like the feel of the build quality of Acer...just don't like how they feel etc...
