To all the landlords on here...

Can you give any advice on landlords insurance? Basically I need insurance to cover building and contents (what little contents there is, e.g. carpets, white goods etc.) as well as landlords liability and damage to the property by tenants. Not sure if I can be covered for "deliberate" damage, for example if they were to start up a weed factory and ruin my house?

Any advice, including recommendations on who to go for and what to look out for, would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Tim

My house is with PaymentShield who will do contents cover as well.

Axa. Not the cheapest but very good when I had to make a claim.

If some one wants to run a weed factory you can charge more rent.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. Anyone tried Simple insurance? Seems good value although I have not compared to those mentioned above.

Cheers,

Tim

+1 for Simple, been with them for a couple of years.
Not sure of the extent of cover but they were cheapest for me.
I only insure buildings, leave the contents to the tenants but the only thing I've ever left inside was a washing machine which the last tenants nicked when they moved out!!
