A friend of mine has kodi on his laptop with the beast install but a lot of the links are dead now. Are there any better installs he could use

clear cache, then install the wookie lite build. has all you really need (i think exodus is included in the latest update to it too).

I just use the stock install, works best for me, then I add a few add-ons

i use one called clearstreams, seems good to me. also gives me the option of a paid monthly sub for better streams (which i dont take up but may do sometime)
