... I met this woman about 30 minutes ago. Before I could introduce myself, I had her newborn child in my hands.
No matter how much I wish I had time to put on gloves, I love my job.

haha. I am a neonatal nurse on a mother-baby unit. So it is normal to deal with newborns.. but rarely do things happen so quick that I am the one catching the child, with no doctor present.

Reminds you you're alive.

I love it when all you need is a pair of gloves, and an outward air of professional nonchalance..
And some warm clean towels.. Sometimes quite hard to get hold of!

Kev, strangely, I am off chrimbo this year. First time in 6 years. We do love a jesus-baby, though!

My wife had our first earlier this year and we could not have been more impressed with the care received, you probably weren't there, but happy Christmas. you're all awesome.
