... I met this woman about 30 minutes ago. Before I could introduce myself, I had her newborn child in my hands.
No matter how much I wish I had time to put on gloves, I love my job.
POW!
And what is your job?
Taxi Driver
Kidnapper
Social Worker?
you need to be thinking about the choice and the pack colour of cheese The importance of crisps in the universe. and bike being a certain type of blue. and editing stuf.
haha. I am a neonatal nurse on a mother-baby unit. So it is normal to deal with newborns.. but rarely do things happen so quick that I am the one catching the child, with no doctor present.
Reminds you you're alive.
that sounds like a comedy oasis buttercup. crazy. can't imagine those emotions. wow! I mean that's a lot to take in!
I love it when all you need is a pair of gloves, and an outward air of professional nonchalance..
And some warm clean towels.. Sometimes quite hard to get hold of!
buttercup - let us know if you deliver one on xmax day! I was born on xmas day 6 am! helped by some poor sleepless nurse types. Respect!
Al, you couldn't be more correct. It's the simple things, isn't it. ๐
Kev, strangely, I am off chrimbo this year. First time in 6 years. We do love a jesus-baby, though!
I'll have to get you out a happy birthday in a couple days.

My wife had our first earlier this year and we could not have been more impressed with the care received, you probably weren't there, but happy Christmas. you're all awesome.
