Poo is the future.
http://www.renewables-map.co.uk/details.asp?pageid=1845&pagename=Davyhulme

The residents of South Manchester produce enough poo to generate 8MW of power. We're taking that poo and generating power from it. 5MW is the projected power profit after we've taken what we need. We also end up with a lot of heat left over from the process too. There's a massive council estate next to the treatment works.

"Hey guys! Sorry about the smell, will this free heat make things better?"

Fricking awesome!

Sorry to hear that mate...

It's my last day in uniform today for the RAF. Nine years deep, but happy to be leaving.

Hardest thing is finding a job to suit an intelligence analyst! At least you have transferable skills and can actually talk about what you do / did for a living!...

Harry is a senior applications engineer. Our company makes calenders and calender rolls for the paper industry. I write and illustrate the installation/operation & maintenance manuals. Der grosse Kase from Germany addressed the employees this morning to tell us that all design and associated administrative functions would move to a German site. Production is moving to Kunshan in China. Beware what they call localisation. Oh yeah - ****ers.

There was a piece on the local news last night about engineers being in high demand as there's a huge skills shortage of them. So much so, they were having to bring in engineers from NZ and Oz to fill the gaps.

Hope you find something soon.

I've actually just received a 6 month contract proposal as a DV cleared Incident and Problem Analyst starting in April... I'm still on full pay from the RAF until July 15th, so don't need anything immediately.

May hold out and see what else is out there. I'm staying out the family business for sure, wanna make it on my own two!

Decisions, decisions.....

[scary] We're going to be a wageless house [/scary]

Would that be a M3 or a 116? 🙂

Samuri,
We have a Project Engineer job going at Davyhulme. Do you like working with poo?

In all seriousness, can you send me any details on that vacancy please? I have a very close freind whos worked in water treatment as a project engineer for years, and his contracts down in brighton has just expired. He lives 10 mins from Davyhulme too.
