Did anyone else's toes curl when the bloke was trying to explain to a Muslim man born in England that he wasn't English?

I'm really not keen on "English" as an exclusive ethnic identity.

Ha! Radio 2 is banned at work (by people twice my age!). I listen to it in the car and normally I avoid the show like the plague because I can't see how middle aged people can get so angry about so many insignificant things every day (Although, spending any amount of time on here, I should know better...).

That's true. However, in the grand scheme of things, if one man in a million thinks the symantics of nationality is important, and the rest don't, then you could count that as insignificant.
