I know a lot of ex cricketers struggle after the game - you spend large amounts of time with your team mates so afterwards the loneliness is terrible. I hope he finds something to fill that gap after not even being able to have a proper retirement.

Yes pretty tough for someone so young to have to retire on medical grounds

It's a shame as he just seemed to be settling into the England side, but better to find out this way than the way Muamba did.

He seemed a top bloke as well as a great player. Possible next England capt imho. Hopefully he can find a niche in the game somewhere if he so chooses.
