Duh, obviously! It could never work. Everyone except politicians knew that.
The German government is determined to make it work. Full fiscal integration will instil iron discipline into the sloppy Southern Europeans and Irish slackers. Once they have understood there is no choice but to follow the express orders from Berlin, and they have accepted Germany's inherent and legitimate right to dominate Europe, then everything will be just wunderbar. Of course the English as usual will want to upset the apple cart and cause trouble, they always do, but those pesky spitfires won't help them this time. Nothing, will stop the final destiny and greater glory of the Großdeutsches Reich from being achieved. That is all. Back to work.
