I never knew that there was such a thing as this, until I saw a fella taking his wellies off with one, today, how can I get to 36 and not use a Jack to get my boots off?

So far I've managed to get to 61 without needing something like that; I just use the toe of my other foot, I've got enough crap littering the boot of my car without adding one of those.

You have seriously not seen these before?

As a 10-12 year old I had a collection of antique metal ones which I sold to buy Scalectrix which mum and dad then gave away to some worthy cause and bought me a crap microscope.

No, I am not bitter 33 years later

We used to have a place in South Texas at which we would spend every Christmas. Every year meant a new pair of riding (cowboy) boots from someone who made them by hand.

A boot jack was indispensable.

It looks good but is it preferable to Fleetwood Mac?

Not heard that phrase for a long time, in my youth early teens that had totally different meaning!

Possibly the most obscure reference ever on here, and that's a deep pool.
I own a pair of cowboy boots

I went out with a chic who wore cowbow boots and I had admired them, so for my birthday she bought me a pair. We went into a shop and she picks a pair and says try them on, they went on pretty easy. No way would they come off, ended up she paid for them and said they would loosen if we walked around the rest of the day. I could have done with a bootjack they were really difficult to get off. I never put them on again.

As is customary, Samantha spent some time down in the gramaphone library earlier, fetching the hit singles she's chosen. She's become quite friendly with the two elderly archivists, Jack and Arthur. They've recently gone part time, so Samantha's come to a working arrangement - she does the paperwork, Arthur gets her 45s out and Jack's off all afternoon.
