Why in this digital age does ITV 4 insist on starting many of its programmes 2 minutes early? If you set up a reminder on the Sky box by the time is clicked round to say 17.00 and switched the channel you've missed the first two minutes.
Non of the other channels appear to have this problem!
They do it, (as do C5 digital channels), to get more advertising time during the programme. People were going for a cup of tea/toilet break at the end/beginning of programmes, there is now little or no break between programmes, they think this strategy allows more people to see the ads during the prog.
