I've been steadily ripping all my CD's to iTunes, but when the recent ones are ripping, not only does it seem to take much longer, the internet slows right down and when playing an 'already ripped' tune from iTunes, it plays all fuzzy!
What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Error correction being used during the ripping process will slow it down if the disk is badly marked. I suspect that if you're using a lower spec PC it may not be as snappy as a newer core duo or later type. You can also uncheck the "play tracks after import" option in the preferences which will speed things up.
my old PC used to do that. I presumed it didn't have processing power to do too many things at once. My new one with Intel Pentium dual-core is miles better.
