ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!
Bit of crossover. Wikipedia classes it as 'Industrial Hip Hop' so it's in.
Love how tone loc takes the pi$$ out of Robert Palmer too
Senser - cropped up in the indie thread that this one's a response to.

remix by Peaches of Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" which IMO is even better than the original! I've dropped it in a couple of house sets I played in a club before, and it sets everyone off on a mad one! Proper lairy tune...

oops, a bit early, but even so....
Every time I listen to fight the power always reminds me of the film King of New York. I've seen public enemy live twice and Jurassic 5 live twice. J5 did it for me, meeting Cut and Numark after in the after party in the Jazz cafe was sweet but Chali2na was a legend.
Not allowed to listen to any videos at the mo but has anyone had any Nas or Mobb Deep yet? Or What's the Scenario with ATCQ and Busta Rhymes?
first time i got a real taste of hip hop was when i went to Uni in '92 and hooked up with a guy that fe#kin loved it.
many a day was spent skipping lectures, smoking joints and listening to Dr Dre. Happy Days.

Daddy Kane - Ain't No Half Steepin'

dr octagon
Unfortunately no video, but this is not only the finest piece of Hip Hop from the "golden age" but possibly the best song ever produced!
In my opinion anyhoo!
Dilla's the man
These two tracks are from hip hop albums but could easily sway the narrow mindedness of those that recon all hip hop is yo yo m**f*^$* yo kind of stuff.
I like the video as much as the track. Beastie Boys - somethings got to give.
A nice fresh change when it came out although out of the 90`s.buck65 - wicked and weird.
