We will be in touch
So, I'm replacing our rubbish Dell Vista laptop with a funky new Asus Tablet. However, this won't be able to run the software for my HP Photosmart all-in-one printer. So that job will go to my other Dell laptop, presently running XP64. Problem is, HP don't make a printer driver for XP64.
So, I'm thinking of upgrading the XP64 to windows 7. £99 for the upgrade from Microsoft, compared to £150 for the full install. Obviously, I want to upgrade, but the copy of XP I have, may be a little warm, if you get my drift. Will I run into difficulty?
Got any kids?

They used to sell Win 7 Home Premium cheaper but I can't find it listed.
I have installed Win 7 upgrade onto a completely blank machine, but have never registered it (might have used Winloaded to activate it - messing around playing, so never tried registering it properly).
Hmmm

really it does... can't help you on to confirm the valid win licence though. If you get the £49 copy of 7, you could do as a friend did, & locate an unused copy of in Xp on ebay for £20 (IIRC)
