I've got an ACer laptop which was having problems, I did a Factory Settings restore and after downloading some Vista Updates everything seamed to be working ok for a couple of days. I switched on this morning and the keyboard is very slow. I have to hold each key down for longer than normal for the characters to appear. It's like Filter Keys is switched on, I've checked and it isn't. I've run AVG and Sbybot and didn't find anything. GOogle says switch offf Filter keys.... Any ideas? THis problem was one of the reasons I did the reset!
If the delay is between the first and subsequent characters appearing you can change the [i]Character Repeat[/i] by opening the Control Panel Selecting Hardware and Sound > Keyboard and adjusting the Character Repeat Sliders.
Tried them. Writing AA has the same problem as wrting AB 🙁
