Problem is this.
I use PC with MS Outlook on my gmail account. I don't use gmail app as you cannot send to groups easily (a big flaw in gmail but not the point of this post)
When I send a group email with PDF attachemnt, about 50% of the time the recipients who use Mac's will not get the attachment, it just arrives as a winmail.dat. It often works when I resend, but is proving to be a PITA
Any thoughts?
Try sending as a 'plain text' email - I think this frequently happens if emails are formatted in 'rich-text' from Outlook - Microsoft have their own proprietary standard which screws up non-Outlook users. Could test HTML too but plain usually works better for me.
Yes have had this problem as a Mac user. I recall you can "save as" the file as a pdf to open it. I'd be interested to know if there is a solution so I can tell PC users what to do.
