Bought those bargain 29er Stans 355 rims (2 for £75) off merlin a couple of weeks ago, went away and ordered hubs etc, began to wonder where the rims are, check my e-mail and there's one from merlin saying "you appear not to have paid for XXX, please complete the order". Ohh well, I must have made an error with paypal passwords or the like, I'll just get the newer Arch EX rims, it's only £50 more and lesson learnt.
Except I ordered a prepaid internet simcard off ebay last week for my dongle. And exactly the same things happened! Except this time there's no record at all in Ebay of me buying it.
Now either; I've made the same mistake twice (possible, but seems unlikley), or;
Paypal reversing all my payments and deleating all the history for some reason? or;
I'm buying stuff in my sleep, but rather than bike bits turning up unexpectadly, I'm just imagining that I've ordered them?
I've had this recently. I went to buy some clothing online and opted to pay by PP. The order appeared to complete without a problem. I then receive an email (from the retailer) telling me there was a problem and please contact them. I did and they told me PP payment hadn't gone through. I then cancelled the order. I've not tried to buy anything since though. I have been able to transfer money to Mrs Beaker though??
I've had this with the ebay and paypal app a few times, not with the website though
Hmmm, so not just me then.
Paypal has been telling me for a while that they need more info from me in order to 'unblock' my account; as far as I can see it looks mostly genuine.
I've not logged in to see what's up, though, because a) I don't trust paypal, and don't want to give them more info and b) I don't actually use it that often anyway.
I got a message a while back (2 years or so) saying something along the lines of them requiring more info as i had spent up to my limit. providing the info was a bit of a pain but since then i have had nothing. I took it as a weird security check thing.
Paypal emailed me last week with this,
"We need to confirm some of your account information or collect further information. If you don't do so in time, PayPal is required by EU regulations to limit access to your account."
I logged in and they wanted to know if i was a private individual or a business seller/buyer. Ticked the relevent box, that was it. Seemed genuine to me.
Maybe login to PP and have a look in the 'to do' bit, Might be something there.
