Got up this morning to find my shower had only only heat setting - scalding hot. No matter what twiddling I did nothing changed.

It is only of those flush in the wall Aqualisa ones, quite old now 12+ years.

Will it be serviceable, ie a new themostatic strip or whatever might be wrong with it? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and buy a new shower?

Part of me thinks that once you take into account the labour to remove tiles and sort it all out a new shower may not be that much more expensive.

I am a complete DIY numpty, so any advice is welcome, or do I just call the plumber .

Not a clue if it is a mixer shower. Can't be anything major - probably a seal.

No it's just needs a service kit for it and someone to fit it - or yourself. Quite easy - did it myself last year.

Google the model and something will come up to help you.

Try the forums here:

I had a similar problem, got it sorted out after buying a service kit from them.
