Hi all Im after some i tunes/ipod help please!!

ok, basically i already have an itunes account and have an ipod nano touch i use in the gym.

i have just bought a new ipod touch 8gb for my lad and am trying to set it up without acces to the internet.

to do this apparently i connect it to my laptop with itunes on and it will come up in my itunes window under devices which it does, however when i click on the device under the device heading i get no screen saying register your device ???? all i get is a big ipod sign in the middle of the screen??

any ideas???

cheers

steve

Have you had chance to try this with the internet yet, as this would seemingly be the obvious answer... as it would seem reasonable that the registration screen won't appear if you aren't connected to the interweb thingyme bobit.

In what way do you want to set it up?? I'm not quite sure what you're asking are you wanting him to have no Internet access on it or are you wanting to set the I pod up without going on line??

trying to set it up without acces to the internet.

A quick Google suggests this should be OK, but by the looks of it you do need an Apple ID and a USB connection.
