I've got an Ipod Shuffle. It's not the current one, it's the one that looks a bit like a small USB stick with no display and the controls for volume, skip etc on the headphone lead. The only control on the thing itself is the switch which switches between off, continuous and shuffle.
I have it loaded up with various complete albums and some individual tracks. It used to work properly in that in 'continuous' it would play the tracks off an album on order. Now it shuffles whichever setting it's in.
I haven't changed the software on the shuffle - it say's it's up-to-date at v1.1. I upgrade Itunes every now and again - it's currently at 10.1.1.4. In the recent past I've removed all the music from my PC and reloaded it as lossless (it was in a mish-mash of formats before). Because of this I've changed the settings for the shuffle to convert to a l28kbps so I get more music on.
Any ideas?
Nobody?
I thought they all just shuffled. You learn something new everyday! On the plus side, your ipod now meets my expectations.
I thought they all just shuffled.
Nope, they (3rd gen ones anyway) should both shuffle and play continuously.
I like to have it on shuffle until a track comes on that makes me think "hmmm.... I'd like to hear the rest of this album" so I switch it to continuous. In the past it would then play out the rest of the album but now it carries on shuffling.
It's not the end of my world but it's annoying me more than it should.
