We will be in touch
After a cup of coffee managed to get inside my laptop and killed it beyond all hope (according to PC World, and somebody I actually trust to be able to fix a computer), I've got myself a shiny new laptop and thought all I'd have to do is download Itunes, plug the Ipod in and transfer all my music over to the new 'puter.
Itunes, however, has a better idea - telling me to bog off.
When I try to synch them, I get a message telling me that my Ipod is associated with another Itunes library and can't be synched. I've tried authorising the computer, it tells me that this is computer 2 of my allowed 5 (presumably computer 1 is the one that drank my brew).
I could really do without having to go in the loft and fetch hundreds of CD's down and put them all in one by one.
Any help (or abuse for being a plonker - as long as it gets me on the right track) would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
download Yamipod or copytrans and backup your ipod using them, both work well but yamipod was my favourite one because it will create a really nice organised directory structure for you.
Like Samuri says there are load of bits of software that will allow you too do this.
I'd have a look at
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/copying-music-from-ipod-to-computer/
which will walk you through the entire process and let you know what software you can use.
Thanks for that. It's ended up costing a few quid, but I've got my music back.
