Just wondering who has their grabby little mitts on one yet and who rates it, not rates it.

Has the 6s really got the same camera as the 6plus? - If so then that is very good of them haha.

I have ordered an Otterbox defender case for the 6s and am just wondering any reviews from your good selves on this would be mighty helpful as I need to be able to protect my all purpose smarty machine as it will get at least 2-3yrs use, therefore longevity is a must!

Any essential accessories I might consider?

Coming from a person who has a broken screen on his phone, insurance...
One of my colleagues has the 6s he was putting on a very thick screen protector yesterday, Tempered Glass Protector, looked quite good.

Ooooo I did telephone my home insurance provider but was £250 excess and maximum payout was £500 so no good!

Apple Icare+ seems expensive too but providing that I am taking good care and protecting it from the start with an Otterbox Defender case, I shouldn't require (he hopes) insurance.

Can you please find out where he purchased his tempered glass protector and also if it can be used in conjunction with a case such as the defender.
I'm guessing that they are easy to install?

I got a glass screen thing installed on my 6 at a currys/dixons at an airport, think it was a belkin, they had an installer device and the staff had obviously done it a load of times so worth the few quid extra. its not obtrusive but you know its there. Case wise i wanted an otterbox, but id need a laptop bag to carry the bloody thing about, phone barely fits in my pocket as is.

I have this protector: http://www.zagg.com/uk/en_uk/glass-luxe-apple-iphone-6s (£20 from Vodafone shop, similar non branded on ebay is about a fiver, might be the same thing but I'm a klutz and liked the fact if you drop phone and break the protector you get a new one). I know two people who have dropped phones with these protectors, cracked them but the screen has been fine.

It's thick but you don't notice it with the phone turned on. I had a life-proof case for my 5S. It was great - secure, sturdy and waterproof but I got a bit sick of the bulk. The otter box's are even bigger if I remember. Definitely give you piece of mind but too chunky for me.

Phone is an upgrade over a 5S. It's not worth the money but none of them are. Camera seems very very good indeed (and I like the static video thing it does.. hard to explain you have to play with it). Also the 3-D touch is a plus and most apps seem to be upgrading to it. I'm still finding Siri hard to love.

I never bother with screen protectors. I've had a few scratches over the last seven years of iPhones but they're tools, not pieces of jewellery. Insurance with a low excess is the key which I have anyway due to a large amount of expensive electronics in the house and two small children!

Don't normally case them either, but bought an Apple leather case for the new 6s. Coming from a 5s I found it's shape a little slippery to hold plus the leather gives a 'warmer' feel to the phone.

Oh and I took some non applecare insurance. £90 for two years. Any number of breakages. No questions asked. No excess. Quite expensive but as stated above ^^ I'm not safe with expensive stuff, hence needing a new phone after I lunched my 5S 😉

I never bother with screen protectors either. It's like wearing a condom IMO.

The glass is more than good enough for everyday use, what may I ask are you doing with yours?

6 user here and very happy with it except the size.. but hey size matters 🙄

Give me a 5s size with the 6's capacity and process power and slightly larger screen any day.

Not decided what I will get for it to protect it in the backpack when mountain biking yet, but the rest of the time it will just go in my pocket au naturel, My 4s survived for 4 years in my pocket with keys and coins without a scratch, I don't see why this one shouldn't.

Have an InToro screen protector on my 6 with a LifeProof Nüüd case - love them both.
Hardly know theres a case on there - the least obtrusive one I've used.

The 6 is a LOT easier to drop, bloody slippery in its roundy thin-ness. I can see the back looking battered by keys compared to a 4, even my 5 fared poorly compared to the previous 4 which is now used by the GF. I treated myself to a pouch case for my 6 now, designed by a mate, its expensive but lovely...

I've got the 6S in a griffin survivor case I had an otter of previously on a 5 but the dust covers muffled speach so bad I ended up cutting them off.

The survivor is a great bit of kit what sold it for me was that it can be reversed into its backing so screen facing in for slinging into a back pack or smock pocket etc

I've got one. Not had a chance to use it yet as my SIM's not activated. I always had a simple sock thing for my 5, so might do the same. I would keep it nekked, but I have a remarkable tendancy to drop these things. (Hence the sock)
The screen won't get a protector on it, as they're damn tough.
I have an iPad 2 that I got from work - they said I had to give it back when I left, so I threw things at it to try to damage the screen. Not a mark on it! 😆 good job, cos they said I can keep it now!

Had 5 iPhones without screen protectors and not scratched any of them. Don't see the point in buying a beautifully designed object and then covering it in a piece of crap plastic. Bit like putting bin liners over pictures in a gallery...

Yeah I never once scratched my iphone 5 in the 2 1/2 yrs of ownership in a Tech 21 leather folding stand up case.

I did have a Griffin survivor but no one could hear me due to the cover so am surprised to hear what squaglybob is saying.

I'll give it a try and see if it does the same as my old iphone 5 griffin did, if so then it's off for a full refund, although if they're anything as difficult getting a refund out of them like it is trying to speak to someone there, then that may prove difficult.

I also think I'll try without the tempered glass at first at least so I can try out the defender for fit, hearing and talking performance.

iPhone6 seems to be much more prone to scratching than previous models though, not sure about 6s. InToro now fitted to mine, never previously bothered with any kind of protector on 4/5...

Iphone 6 here and using the griffon survivor case. Ive dropped mine twice from a seated position in a 4x4 to tarmac and its so far untouched. The 6 is far too thin for my liking so the case bulks it out a little.

I've got one, in an incipio case with tempered screen protector, as they are quite slippy. Case is same as the 6, I just used my old one.

The 6 is the only smartphone I've ever cracked a screen on as it slid out of my hand as I got out the car, so this one will be protected to avoid it.

Anyone experiencing any problems with the latest handset at all?

The live pictures thing sounds intriguing.
