Very seriously not thinking of getting one. I'll give it a year and see what everyone else comes out with and then decide.
Its still very expensive for what it is, and I think that other brands will come out with stuff at similar / lower price points which are more flexible and capable.

bloke at work got one which (as they all do) needed to be connected to iTunes initially. He then found out that the required version of iTunes didn't work on the Apple OS on his iMac at home 🙂 So he's going to have to cough for a new Apple OS on his Apple computer so he can use his Apple iPad.

Some people are very cliquey on here..Who gives a toss what you are into? Personally I just dont see the point of it - it may replace the laptop yeah but it aint a game changer thats for sure. In time we may look back & see this as a stepping stone in tech advancement but honestly who here who already owns a laptop is going to run out & buy this?

Cos you want it
My missus wants one very badly. All she will ever do on it is shop on the internet, use Facebook, and possibly do some basic photo editing. She has no expensive hobbies outside rabid consumerism so she thinks its justified compared to buying a laptop.
