A couple of people are interested in me making them slightly padded fabric covers for their gagets.
As I don't own any 'i' thingamewhatsits, I need the STWers to let me have the measurements. length, width and thickness.

Thanks.

Are they different sizes?

Yes.

iPad2 is thinner than the iPad. The iPhones are all slightly different sizes.

iPhone 3G 115mm long 62mm wide 13mm thick

I think the 3G & 3GS are the same but the 4 may be very slightly different.

I made Ipad covers for Christmas, used 9.5" x 11.5" fabric pieces with quarter inch seam allowance which fits ipad perfectly

Bunnyhop - I'd love a padded cover for my gadget, especially now the weather is a little colder.

Dimensions are 12" long by about 2" thick. ๐Ÿ˜†

geetee 1972 - you mean 2" _________________________________________________________________________ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Edit - Typical that yours has to be larger than everyone elses ๐Ÿ˜€

ebygomm - why did you use pieces of 9.5" x 11.5", when the dimensions are 9.5" x 7.3" ? thanks

Allowing for the seam allowance, width of the ipad and fleece lining this is what worked out right (the first one I made was a touch too small).

Right, may have to dig out some 'manly' fabrics for the boys, not the usual delicate pink and lilac florals with twee bits of lace.

Brilliant ๐Ÿ˜†

BTW I do know Bunnyhop so my comment wasn't entirely inappropriate, just marginally so.

These were the ones I made. It would be possible to make them a little smaller but you'd really need an ipad on hand to test out. As these were gifts and I don't have an Ipad I preferred to know they'd fit rather than having them as close fitting as possible.

I do know you, and my comment was entirely appropriate

But, to be fair, I also know you're brother, and he'd need a bigger hat ๐Ÿ™‚
