From an indicated 100% charged battery my iPad Air will suddenly die after a few minutes use, but works fine if left on charge.
I presume the battery has given up the ghost, where would the hive-mind send it?
Ps I have opened up iPads before to replace screens, and don't want to repeat that experience anytime soon, so please don't suggest DIY 😉
The Air is very difficult to repair. Have you checked if the model is covered under the replacement programme?
Apple will do you a battery replacement for £99. When I last checked, this seemed very reasonable since an iFixit battery kit is still ~ £80. You might want to check but I'd just take it to an Apple shop and get them to do all the hard work.
It's an iPad Air 1 so won't be covered by any warranty.
@Superficial I was leaning towards an Apple repair as it doesn't seem out of line price-wise, doesn't seem to be a cheaper reliable alternative so off to sunny Leicester it is.
Cheers all both
