Yo I have an interview at a ski shop in Whistler next week. Not sure if I should act stoked and say stuff like "right on!" or play it like I would any other and dress well, shake hands, act professional. Everyone here seems severely laid back so not sure :-S.. Any advice or tips? Thanks 🙂 .

Be yourself, there's no point selling them something you aren't, they'll fire you.

Which shop...

Summit (biggest store) are looking for professional, friendly amenable staff that will get the job done but take every opportunity to enjoy the winter. They also take great care of the staff and expect you to represent them when working and have a great time doing so.

Kathmandu will expect you to turn up to work stoned

Whistler Blackcomb stores will expect you to be happy to bend over and do whatever they tell you - but expect you to do it badly and spend all your wages on staff housing and pay day friday in merlins.

Snowcovers will expect an intimate knowledge of all ski gear.

TMC freeriders will expect you to be a hip kid who loves to skateboard and not give a da*n about selling anything 🙂

Nothing particular about the other stores. They all run a good solid trade though.

Hit them up with some steezy threads, bro!

Or, just be honest. Would be better.

Don't forget your Sweetabix for breakfast on the day, though!

Do the professional thing, at the end of the day they want you to make money for them presumably, either flogging stuff, or training folk, either way, we punters want nice young respectable men to abuse about the crap <insert product> we just bought/rented and it broke.
