MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
If I was to view a view a page in IE7 that contained a large image and I closed the browser before the image had been fully downloaded, would the file be stored in the cache and recorded as the size of the amount that had downloaded?
And would it be stored with the correct file name, or would it be appended with .part or anything else?
TIA
Geoff

IE should cache it in your temproary internet files. in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\
if you have vistaw@nk or
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
if you have XP
Once opened, sort by size, if you know vaguely how much of it was downloaded, or Last Modified to see the latest additions to the CIAs activity monitoring folder.
Chances are it'll have some random unintelligable name like "43353a17-5ac2-48fe-aaa9-da51025a5932&w=136&h=102.goat"
I believe that until the image has fully downloaded, it doesn't go in the cache.
