Thinking of giving Internet dating a real go to see if its any good/fun.

Who on here has given it a go? Has it been successful ?

I will await the STW's wisdom... 😀

Got a colleague who met her husband via internet dating, after 2 failed marriages (husbands infidelity) she describes it as "test driving". By her own admission she also got a lot of nice looking men who were good for a night, but not for marriage (her words, paraphrased).

I find it completely demoralising, but then I'm an ugly unfunny **** with high expectations. I'm also not tall, dark and handsome, over the age of 35, career ambitious, have travelled lots (or have the desire to), and have no interest in kids.

A friend of mine met his (now) wife online and they've just had their 1st kid, so I'm not going to knock it.

P.S. I did actually date someone for well over a year that I met online and she was great, but case of right girl/wrong time.

If you do internet dating do you need some anti-virus protection?

Computers weren't even invented last time I went dating.

been there done that,

first was a blind date setup by a friend via a dateing site - second turned into a fruitcake after the first few months

second attempt was a 'well it almost worked the first time' - fruitcake from the start and I'd quite like my bill bailey boxset back if your reading this.

Met Mrs.T this way - never been happier!

Especially when you get to an age where 'pulling in the local night club' makes you look like a sugar daddy (without the wealth) then interweb is a good choice
