I've auctioned off a stereo on eBay and the winner is in New Zealand. I thought I had checked UK postage only. My mistake obviously, although I did ask for potential buyers to get in touch before bidding. I would like to get it to him if possible. Royal Mail quote is in excess of £150. What options, if any, are there for getting the item out there safely for a reasonable price?
