I read the article linked below in the Audax Uk Arrivee magazine and thought it may interest some on here.

I did the end to end on a normal tourer in two weeks and that was hard enough so much respect to Idai.

Friend of mine, who was a novice MTBer, DIY'ed the whole thing off road. I would get random phone calls from the top of moors asking how to change a spoke / fix a puncture etc..
