I might give it a go but I’m just learning to draw. Something I’ve wanted to do for years and never quite got round to it...

Would love to but I seem to be incapable of producing any drawing that's not a rough plan view of a dinghy or a slightly messily shaded box.

Art is the one subject I had the dubious honour of scoring bottom (sub 25% scores) in the whole year group two years running at secondary school. Odd because i am a bit of an aesthete in many ways.

I wait the efforts of the talented. 😀

Not signing up as I have extremely limited abilities when it comes to drawing. Stick men and badly deformed dinosaurs (that are probably traumatising Funk Jr) are my main output. Really looking forward to seeing the efforts of others though. There were some brilliant ones last year.

It's Inktober, you're allowed to be crap. And it's a great way to get less crap, nothing like daily practice to get better!

I've only got one pen and a kids paper pad here in a Belgian Centre Parcs so a bit limited on drawing ideas.

'Almost certainly not safe for work'

😳

Like a Lego Rorschach test!  At first I peered for ages, trying to figure out why two men rolling out some dough on a table was NSFW 🤣 I showed Mrs MR (without preamble) and she said, 'oh that's clever, Lego people playing table Pacman, right?'

Ace.

I can’t draw worth a damn, and I really don’t feel too inclined to try. to be perfectly honest.

I just thought I'd add an update from Last Years Inktober thread. It prompted Mrs Binners to pick up the pens and start scribbling again. Just tentatively at first. She hadn't drawn a thing for 25 years, she reckons. She's now really developed a style of here own layering acrylics, watercolour pencils and ink outlines, and she's gettign more and more requests for commissions.

More to the point she's really enjoying it. She's just done this...

Great drawings all. Loving Mrs Binners eagle. How big is it? It's a bit hard to tell on the screen.

Still trying to stick to the prompts.

Great stuff red thunder!

That looks like a great first attempt Jon. Are you using the same weight pen for all of it? Try using different weights for when you want to alter the shading from lighter to darker?

these Rotrings give you a good spread

0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 is all you need. I need to get mine out and actually bloody draw something, don’t I?

Thanks Binners.  Yeah, using the same pen for everything at the moment. It's Unipin fine line 0.1.  I only have a single pen with me on holiday and a 50p pad of paper from tesco which absorbs and spreads the ink.  I have a 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 at home so will give those a go when I get back.

I got obsessed with stippling like that when I was at Uni. I’d have big incredibly detailed A2 pieces on the go for weeks, that i’d Just keep coming back too. I still find it really therapeutic. I think I definitely need to revisit that
