I've seen the refill kits for HP cartridges for about half the price of new compatible cartridges.

Are these fiddly to refill and worth the money or is it better to replace the whole thing? In the past I've used Epson printers and just got the replacement cartridges...

its not worth it, they leak and make a mess generally.

We bought a complete set of inks for our hp printer from ebay for £8 the hp set are £55, yes there not as good on photo printing but for just normal office printing needs there more than good enough.

I've used this place http://stores.ebay.co.uk/G-E-C on ebay, found them cheap, quick to despatch, genuine products.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I didn't think they would be easy or clean to refill, and as the cartridges also contain the printhead I think I'll just forego the faff and get new ones.

I've refilled mine using the Tesco kit, works perfectly and made no mess.

I used to use refills. Was a bit messy and the refilled cartridge did not last long. Cheaper though.
