Does anyone know with regard to inheritance tax?
I live in switzerland, and im about to receive a sum from my grandmother - tax on the estate has been paid in the uk..but we want to know if it will be subject to more tax here..
Cant find anything on internet that confirms or not..
I only have basic knowledge of Swiss tax, the rules depend on the canton, Valais is one of the cheapest - the authorities have a degree of latitude in applying the laws which can make a Big difference - sometimes you can negotiate with them (on income tax & poss capital gains not sure about inheritance tax) if you contact Pure international they have some experts contacts for swiss tax.
