We will be in touch
Now I'm not surprised as it's been going on for donkeys years in motorbike mags but I found the following of interest.
Since the introduction by Fox/Shimano of the 15mm bolt through fork (never seemed to get as much hoo hah for RS Maxle) every review I have read has stated how pin sharp steering is and how stiff the forks are with bolt through.
Now we have Fox introducing a 34mm stanchion fork for the 29er market and suddenly in WMB I find that 32mm Floats are described as flexi but it's not a side by side comparison with a new 34mm Float (and it was for a 26er fork anyway).
I'd be quite happy if when both through came out they'd been honest and said "stiffer than QR but still some flex" instead I got the impression that they were rock solid. And now they are pre-judging the 34s against the 32s. So basically to me it is emperors new clothes syndrome. The new stuff is better than the old.
As said elsewhere I just take the test mags with a Siberian Salt Mine and mix in with impressions/reviews/real life testing to get somewhere near to the truth.
feh!
